Dangerous Misdirection

Like the brushstroke,
Millions of lines,
Encircle… then choke,
Too many signs,
Believe is what they say,
But up on the horizon,
An Epiphany… afraid,
Long enough to realize,
That nothing, it’s out there,
Waiting for a wrong step,
A whisper, a dare,
A tremble of a small lip,
Those claws, grotesque,
Are reaching from the dark mist,
Don’t stand statuesque,
Those hands will be relentless,
The colour, that flick,
Let the rain of it befall you,
Step lightly, a trick,
Has been laid out to stall you,
Flight of your footsteps,
Leave the beast behind
The monster to be loosed yet,
Safety where you reside.

You Make Me Shine

Fingertips trace my skin,
Setting my heart aflight,
Every deed seems a sin,
suffer much too pleasant to be right.

Do you know your effect?

Your warmth is all I need
To glow inside and out
You’ve planted that tiny seed
Now watch us begin to sprout.

Do you feel your consequence?

Wrap your arms about my essence
Clutch me closer still,
Let me count the blessings
That empty hole you fill.

Do you recognize your worth?

I’ll be falling into you forever
Your velvet night to touch.
I hope you take time to consider,
Why you mean so much.

Can you see how you make me shine?

Transformation

What have you become?
Precious and dear,
Sweet and sincere,
A force I fear.

No longer should I search
My focus has become bright,
Finding myself in your light,
You have clarified my sight.

I will do anything you ask,
To dwell in your glow,
I would battle any foe,
Thrust myself to the cold below.

What price is your heart?
Mine you own, now, evermore,
I wish our love to be like lore,
To meld around your core.

Your worth exceeds this world,
And I will wait in strife,
I will take every dive,
You have become my life.

The Painful Right

The frictions burn your senses
A surge of heat through veins,
Eyes regard what you’ve taken,
Unite pleasure with pain.

Bitter flames lick ever dryer,
And reach for your destruction,
You cannot climb much higher,
Called down with sweet seduction.

Let honey flow within you,
For pleasant be its taste,
After the risks you have braved,
Let it nigh go to waste.

Finally overcome you,
Those placate tones of content,
Wrapped in your prize forever,
Your choice you’ll never lament.

Your Unseen Power

A Rush,
A wind,
that sweeps you away.
Let’s Slip the hold,
Your body claims on the soul.
And lets it float astray.

Your Rush,
Your Wind,
Has blown through my blood,
Turned living to ash,
Dust on your breath,
Grit in the mud.

That Rush,
That Wind.
Has carried hence my being,
Lifted it to soaring skies,
To join other winds,
And never once believing.

What Rush,
What Wind,
It his taken its flight,
Leaving me separated,
From body and mind,
As day from night.

No Rush,
No Wind,
To carry me home,
Up on its shoulders,
Part of me gone.
I am left a stone.
