I've heard all my life that only risk takers are winners but I've never truly believed that. Mostly because I rather be a happy loser than possibly being a sad winner. We've all heard of people at the top being some of the most depressed people on earth. I'm starting to change my perspective on that "rule" of life. The "rule" doesn't necessarily mean that a winner can't be happy. If you've become a winner through a virtuous manner I'm sure that happiness will not be far away. I'm going to try really hard to not sell out my dreams or the morals I was taught from my loved ones while on my way forward. I've had a fear of compromising the morals instilled in me by my family since I was young; I don't want to become what I've hated. I have this deep yearning for justice. I want to help people get justice and I hope that along the way I can settle that fire of injustice that's burned inside me since I was little. Nowadays becoming a successful lawyer means getting your hands a bit dirty. Even more when it comes to the House or the Senate.

When I was seven my father left my mother. As soon as he turned his back and walked out of the house she turned to me and said, "Honey, it's you and me against the world now." I grew up and I haven't stopped fighting since.
