Okay so wow.
Snowboarding in the mountains is absolutly amazing.
lets tell this tale from the very beginning . . . . . .
so my school decided to leave at midnight on thursday night so we could sleep on the bus and get to the hill really early. Well most of us slept a majority of the way there except me, josh and hooker. We stayed up and watched V for Vendetta on hookers PSP. After that i went to sleep 'cause we still had a ways to go, we had just crossed the boarder into BC so i said screw it im going to sleep. Josh wakes me up when we get there. Everyone on the bus was anxious to get off and just go out and hit all the fresh powder that just fell the past two days
Well we got off, get our shit together, boards and skis' out, get lift passes but we have to wait around for an hour for the lifts to open which was a total bummer 'cause it was like 8 in the morning by the time we all got there and had to wait till 9. Well the lifts finally open and we are the first people up the mountain . Everyone dose a run together and then we all get to go off and hit our own runs
First day the snow was so thick you couldnt see 50ft. in front of you but we managed to make it down through powder that was up to our knees without killing ourselves. Me, Josh, Hooker and Jason usually stuck together and did a bunch of runs but every now and then James and Shane would come with us to which was cool
We all went to the top of the mountain and did a bunch of black dimond runs down till we hit a blue. Everyone was there except for Jason. We all sat on the run and had a snowball fight ! I was the first one to hit James in the face then i went to throw one at his board and he lifted it up just enough that it hit him in the ass which was pretty funny. Jason finally caught up and we all took off back down to the chalet
Now long after we had to leave but we were so worn out from the first day we just wanted to get to the hotel and go soak in the hot tub. Get in there and did it ever feel good to my soar aching body. Had pizza supper then sat around and relaxed for a bit, had a cigar and relaxed a little more till about 9:30 then i was out like a light
7:15 is really early when your not expecting it. Someone called Kira and as soon as we heard her talking we were all up ( as in all 4 of us girls ) We got up, got ready and put all our shit together and went down for breakfast. Came back, got our shit and loaded it back on the bus. by 8:30 we were leaving for the mountain again but it only takes about 5 - 10 minutes to drive there from the hotel. We get there and get everything unloaded that we needed, get our lift passes and put our boardbags in a locker and munchies bag then the 4 of us were off
We go up another lift and we hit a black dimond run. Well just to let you know how intelligent Hooker is he dicided to try and carve in powder that was up to his knees and what happens ? He dose a face plant, board up, arms out and slid a good 10ft. collecting snow with his face ! Man was that ever funny and i wish i had my camera there. We are going and today we can see all the runs we were doing the day before that we couldnt see and a couple we didnt do to begin with. Me, Josh and Jason did a run where the powder was 2.5ft. We were going going going and all of a sudden i stopped and went poof ! Yeah i couldnt be seen and i couldnt lift my board so i was pretty well stuck for a good 10 minutes trying to get up. I get up and i only manage to make it another 3 ft. before i lose my balance again and poof ! There was another 5 minutes attempt to get up with snow all up my back and down my pants. We get going and make it to the bottom but i guess Hooker had been waiting there for a bit and said fuck you guys and went into the chalet
We all go up again but Jason took off on us and then i told Hooker where he went and Hooker went after him, Josh and i sat around for 5 minutes knowing they wouldnt come back so we'd have to meet them down at the chalet. We go and hit a couple black but we hit one run called black cloud that had powder up to our thighs. There was no way of carving through that, it would be sucide. We get through it and make it down this trail run only so far 'cause it went flat. For snowboarders flat you get absolutly no where. We took off our boards and had to carry them over to the next hill and put them back on but me and Josh started ourselves a snowball fight again. Well when we got going i didnt see that he had a snowball in his hand. He got up behind me and what dose he do ? Nails me right on top of the head with it and the guys on the chair lift started making loud comments on it and shit like "Hey guys, did you see that, that shit was fuckin awesome !" all i did was chase Josh down the rest of the run screaming at him "You bastard your going to get it when we get down to the chalet !"
We did a bunch more runs and made it into the Currie Bowl which might i say was fuckin' amazing. Again we were up at the tallest point on the mountain that we could go and made it all the way down to the bottom stopping here and there to start a snowball fight
After we hit the Currie Bowl though it had to be our last run so we could get our shit together and be back on the bus for 3:30 so we could get home on time. Got our shit together and back on the bus then we ere off. Another 8 hours back home
