The Forgotten One...

A child forgotten,
out of place,
don't fit in,
a waste of space.

Should I bother to waste this space?

You see her so differently,
a shining beacon for all to see,
perfect, loving, kind and true,
the opposite of me to you.

Had you given me such time,
maybe you would see I shine,
not with money nor fair of face,
but with love without a place.

Love I have ill spent on you,
in my heart now cold and blue,
I have no space nor no heart,
to care or bother to play my part.
I played my part,
the useless one,
many years now...some aprart,
time is short to waste such love,

What is this place that I call home...?
Isnt it where I rest my head....?
A place where I should feel so safe...
Odd thing is Im lost right here....
I search for answers to questions I never asked
this place so warm is oddly cold
as if a ghost resides here
this place where I should know all here
is full of strangers now..
How sad to hear the sound of tears
echo on an empty floor...
a floor once filled with life
why does everything change?
why can it not be left frozen...
exactly as it is
to stay that way forever
to have a smile etched on a face forever
would be somehow sad but warming to
why do shadows tell tales of times long past
a constant reminder of what was that now is dead
paint crumbles....paper curls....wood bends
nothing stays the same
why does it have to end
why must it die
time is like death

My Wandering Mind

An emptiness has taken me..
I’m not sure where I’m headed...
Its taking all my words and thoughts
I cant find a way back to speaking

I feel trapped...alone...
yet imprisoned by something
silent whispers tease my mind
make me believe I hear what I cant

A wasteland of thoughts is lost to me
all hope of remembrance is washed away
this river of darkness is taking me away
I care not where it drags me

confusion is rife here
I cant live my life here
something has got to change

emotions are numb
to all others I’m dumb
to the echoes of something I come

The path I had chosen
lays covered in doubt
searching for tracks a futile hope

Lying here lost in myself
I question my minds sanity

A feeling would thrill me
be it pain or joy
something to reach me
and something restore
I’m buried in my own chasm
a corpse of my own self

Reality has lost me now
this is my healing space...

My words fly lost here
My soul does rot here...
