While trying to take a nap... this all the sudden sprung from my head...
This is the second half of the poem.

Time is never wasted,
Only displaced and found
For a moment spent inside their arms
Is truly that profound

And you know this, and I know this
But so many fail to see
That beyond the groping world we witness
There is more mystery

So break the bonds that restrain
And dare to believe in more
Cause that’s what magic truly is…
Something left to hope for

This is kind of a story poem... and I don't think any of my poems are GREAT, but if you have nothing better to do - read it and tell me what you think!

The Helper

Oh how sickness falls through changes of heart
sickness from comfort come only to part
from golden bright halls and mystery bare
to dank musky darkness; gloomy despair

Find what we will there is no escape
it's found us alas, for you lie awake
get up and move, stay not where you stand
more lies ahead, so take now my hand

we must escape this place, and set this pace
for the price is too heavy to lose this race
don’t fall behind, don’t lose sight of me
For I can’t bare to lose what once set me free

Let go of the past, we have to get out
There’s no sense to cry, no sense to pout
The future’s ahead, and the worlds on fire
It’s been burning for years.. and it won’t tire

The only hope we hold, is in being so bold
As to ignore the signs so hatefully told
And gripping instead to something unsaid
Something we only know because we aren’t dead

For the hopeless are gone, and they have withdrawn
From this world long before this mornings bright dawn
And though darkness sets now, hear now my vow
By tomorrow you’ll see the light on your brow

Jump now my friend and hold on with you’re heart
On the back of an angel you’ll from this land part
Hold on to the angel and guide her wings
And tomorrow you’ll be at the end of all things

And the world will shutter, and the world will hide
As darkness and light in the middle collide
But don’t be afraid for all will be well
Goodness will win the fight over hell!

But now I must confess you heard me not wrong..
And as you fly away you hear my last song.
“For find what we will there is no escape”

We all too often seek ignorance for the bliss that accompanies it, but what we fail to see is ignorance is a gift not all of us are graced with.
We wish we could find it, through drugs, alcohol, other degenerative rituals... but all we find is progress stopping.. not reversing.

For those of us who's minds are restless... We will continue to walk the unknown roads and travel the un-tread paths late at night, and lay restless among those pinpricks of light in the night sky we call stars.
And really, I think each star represents one of us.. A thousand lost souls looking for answers in a sea of darkness. If only we could find each other, if only the stars would collide.. who knows what untold secrets that simple glimmer of light might reveal?

Time ticks on, and the clock never fails
it counts every second.. it always prevails
We are all slaves to this terrible device
In the end we will die, trapped in its vice

But who's to say we cant alter this clock?
why not bend time itself? and break this lock?
well its not hard to do, you dont have to be wise
just open your mind and close both your eyes

think now of the person, who has meant the world to you.
someone mayby you know.. or someone you knew
now imagine the feeling, of what it is like
to hold them real close, to hug them real tight

and now while your drifting, and dreaming of this
realize this is the person you will most sorely miss
and with that realization, now understand
time is not controlled by a resolute hand

when your with someone special, it all melts away
every drop of it falls, and not one is kept at bay
thus these shimmers of time are so utterly free
that they forever fall into the deep empty sea

Although these moments can't be found in this void
we can stop them from falling, from being destroyed
hold on tight to the moment, and let yourself go
and down you'll go with them, into the deep flow.

the moment we stop fighting time
is the moment we will truely be free from its grasp. Live each day not like it is your last, but as if you have all the time in the world. Because really, to fear death, to fear life slipping away, to life today like it is you're last... is just that... it's a FEAR, and it is UNLIKELY (usually). So break free of that and go your own pace - relax, it is then that you will find peace. And it is then that you will finally actually have all the time in the world.

I don't even know, I was so wired on caffeine when I wrote this.
It's interesting at least.. perhaps not the best thing I've written (:

Oh what decadence lies within those who reject who conspire
Fraught not from the mind, but a desperate desire
Dream logic remains, joys and due pains
From a mind of pure order and logical refrains
Does anyone get it? Don't you all understand?
Its not a due logic, but an encompassed demand.
Stray from the road, jump into fire
Its there in the flames you shall find your desire!
Shed your cold skin, step out of your mind
In the halls of the ordinary you'll not see what you find

Here in this madness your in your right mind
