i guess it is getting better. i have met some great people recently and they don't ask, want to know, or care about my past. they only see me for who i am now and that suits me fine. we all have things in our past that are an embarrassment and if we can deal with them on our own terms, then it is something that we can live with. it is when the embarrassment is brought back to us, when we are treated as if these problems make us less of a person or dirty in some way that we cannot live with the past.

Life just SUCKS sometimes. I can't get into it, but when life seriously screws you (read that - a guy seriously screws you) it hurts bad. When the initial shock wears away, you embrace the issues and come to terms with what has happened. You may even find solace in the freeing aspect that the hurt and embarassment has brought. It is like a new-found courage.

But there is always someone who brings it all back down to the seedy, disgusting truth. Someone who can make you feel like you felt the very first moment of the horror. It is these people I have no time for. it is these people who I do not feel the need to explain myself to anymore. It is these people who should just go off and find happiness in their own lives from something other than making other people cry at 3 AM on a Saturday morning.
