Unknown "Mr. Blue" - 15 years, 5 months, 2 days ago

About ten years ago I came up with four assumptions about my future wife:

1) We will meet in a professional or quasi-professional setting. Professional: if we don't meet on a job (not likely), more likely at a business or professional event -- scientific or technical meeting or conference (for which I will need some technical training before I attend). Or, because I have a network marketing business, I might meet her at one of these meetings. Quasi-professional: Toastmasters International is the most likely candidate for this category. A college class or training course could also qualify.

2) English is not her native language. I don't know if she is (or will) live and work in the United States, or I will have to go overseas (Europe or Asia) to meet her.

3) Our relationship will evolve over a long time, possibly years, before we realize we want to spend the rest of our lives together. If we've already met, we have yet to take the relationship from "acquaintance" to dating/friendship, and beyond...

4) All of the above assumptions are wrong. I will not know, I cannot know, who, how, where, or when I will meet the woman I will want to spend the rest of my life with....or who will want to spend the rest of her life with me.

Ten years on, I'm still looking, and wondering...
