Was astounded to discover that Mars is much smaller than earth. It is rougly half the radius, and has one-tenth the mass. In this shot Mars is the dull orange planet on the far right! Until a couple weeks ago I thought of Mars as a hulking, red planet, dwarfing earth from out there in space. The day I saw this pic, I thought...damn, how many other things in my fact stash are off? All this just to show, the more you know, the more you don't know...
