She sat there looking out the window, out on to the night. The wind was making quite a racket while she watched with wide green eyes as the wind hurtled the leaves around the yard. Everything was going to change and she wasn’t sure whether to be excited or afraid anymore. Everything that was changing she had made the decisions, but now she wasn’t sure if they had been the best ones. She would be leaving everything behind besides one thing, one man more precisely. She never even heard him approach just heard his inviting voice next to her ear.
“Leila is time Love.” He whispered calmly to her. She didn’t even jump this time.
“Can’t you ever make some noise before you start talking?” She demanded quietly turning around to face him.
“No, you need to learn to hear me, Love.” He replied pulling her to her feet.
Leila made a face at him before she looked around the room she had grown up in; it was time to leave all of this behind her.
“Are you sure you want to do this, Love?” He asked holding on to her hand with one of icy ones.
“Yes.” She responded softly looking up at him through the dark hair that had fallen into her eyes. With him standing in front of her she knew she was ready for this. That it was what she wanted.
He nodded and led her out of the room, out of the life she had always known. It was time to start a new life with different ways of doing everything. She still hoped everything would go as planned.
