For my final in health I am doing a poem about depression and I would really love some input. So if I could get some opinions on it before Wednesday (the due date) it would be amazing. =^.^=
Depression
People think it’s sadness.
Extreme unbearable sadness.
The truth is they’re wrong.
Well and truly wrong.
Depression is like being pushed into the ocean.
The cold deep ocean.
Pushed by the ones you love.
Pushed by the ones you hate.
So you're stuck.
Far from shore.
Yet there remains a tiny speck land in sight.
Just barely in sight.
But you're so numb.
You don’t know anymore if you want to swim.
Or sink.
However, it’s so lonely in the ocean.
And you want to feel the touch of somebody.
Doesnt matter who anymore.
Anybody would do.
So you swim.
Fighting towards the shore.
Until the waves come.
As they do often.
Like hands dragging you under.
Showing you the peace you can have.
If you just stop fighting.
But you keep going.
Until the day you knew was coming come.
The day you stop swimming.
The day you stop fighting.
The day you die.
