Sometimes,on occasion,you try to assist people through a difficult time and,instinctively one will reach out and try to help them as best you can. Emotional,financial or whatever. However,when they are back on their feet and no longer look to you for support,you actually get rejected and then what happens is,you think to yourself,why did I even bother being kind in the first instance? So your guard goes up,and u cant be bothered with anyone anymore.
