This was one of those rare movies I was able to sit and just watch. No laptop, no crosswords, just watch. How could a character wearing a mask and a wig convey so much personality? I'm still not sure how blowing up a building gives hope. The accents were awful though, I needed subtitles! Very interesting story.

Because I know how much you value my opinion on classic foreign films.....I can't believe they added another hour to it in '97. I am only an hour into this movie and it seems too long. Why are so many classic films 'epics'? Its not that its boring, its too drawn out to hold the attention of anyone under the age of 50. All that aside, life in a U-boat seems pretty f*cking awesome except for the lack of fresh air and personal hygiene. I think they did a pretty good job of showing the kind of trouble bored men can get into.

My little Peanut. Had spinal surgery for 2 ruptured disks in May. He walks kinda goofy now but that's okay with me.
