A SPECIAL POST: Kids with special needs aren't weird or odd. They only want what everyone wants.. to be accepted. It is Special Education Week, and Autism and ADHD Awareness Month. This is in honour of my child and all children.

A little humour for your day: How do you expect kids to listen to their parents when Tarzan lives half naked, Cinderella comes home at midnight, Pinocchio lies all the time, Aladdin is the king of thieves, Batman drives 200 mph, Sleeping Beauty is lazy, and Snow White lives with 7 guys. We shouldn't be surprised when kids misbehave, they get it from their story books.

Special request to all you kids returning to school in the next few days: If you see someone who is struggling to make friends or being bullied because he/she doesn't have many friends or because they are shy, not as pretty, not dressed in the most "in" clothes or a little different -- PLEASE step up. Say hi or at least smile at them in the hallway. You never know what that person might be facing outside of school. Your kindness might just make a BIG difference in someone's life!!
