Has there been an event in your lifetime that has left you completely baffled? Has the event changed the way you felt about things? Do you think about it and are still completely confused? Or did you put it out of your mind and prefer not to give it any more consideration?
I would say one of the most profound events to ever happen in my life was an automobile accident I was in back in September of 2004. I was in the passenger seat and a friend of mind behind the wheel was playing around weaving from side of the road to the other and of course eventually lost control of the car. We crashed off the side of road and smashed into a tree. The passenger seat smashed back on my right foot breaking it in four places.
If that wasn’t bad enough, I had some kind of allergic reaction to anesthesia and which caused me to nearly die during the surgery. This was profound to me because you’re always under the impression that nothing can happen to you as a teenager and that night all of our lives could have easily been taken. I viewed pictures of the accident scene and was amazed that anyone came out of the wreck alive.
However I am very much alive and I realise that I have been given a chance to enjoy life to the full and so I plan to do exactly that!l
