I wonder why?.....
I wonder why sometimes I feel like my brain is different from everyone else.
I wonder why I feel like just walking away sometimes. When i know the cost of
giving up
I wonder why I feel the way i do about some things.
The argument of Nature vs. Nurture is interesting, whether what we do in our lives, good or bad is learned, taught, or if it is instinct, instilled in us since we came from our mothers. Personally after my 14 years of learning (keep in mind the partial sarcasm), that it is a combination of both. That begs the question though, even in my compromise are we naturally evil or good at birth? Or do we as human beings contain the capacity for both good and evil and the events, paths of our lives and the choices we make during the journey are what guide us toward our moral path? (These are mostly rhetorical, as i already know what i think, I am more looking for your opinion).
Oscar Wilde once said "The pure and simple truth is rarely pure and never simple." Lies and truths, the truth within a lie. A lie within truth. Are we truly honorable when we should be? Or does honor and the "pure and simple" truth merely a convenience to us. To use whenever we need it like a wrench or a hammer would be. Life can be a melting pot of emotions sometimes. Has anyone ever noticed that it never is the same day to day? It seems that saying "when life gives you lemons...." comes true more often than not and it just makes me want to scream sometimes, tears vs. laughter, pain vs. pleasure. We go through life with conflicting emotions about every circumstance. The emotions that we face may sometimes be the best thing for us. Through our pain we grow and through laughter we come to understand. It is necessary to feel and experience things because without them I think we would have a hard time facing the world as it is.
Life tends to go .. college whether you want it to or not and you just have to learn to deal. Sometimes dealing is what brings the suprises into your life and sometimes it is those suprises that show you why it is worth it to get up and go outside in the morning. We as human beings in all the ranges of our emotions are the most complex things in the world, and I think that sometimes, in our complexities we find life simplified.
Sometimes life just hurts, no matter what we try and do or how we do it. There is that plain fact that shows something is going to hurt us in the end. The pain does not get easier and that betrayal, no matter how much you say it won't effect you has the greatest effect when you least expect it.
Life, the greatest joy and sorrow...
A journey isnt it..
