(1) Perched in a hillock at Robson Heights in southern Kuala Lumpur, Thean Hou Temple of Goddess of Heaven stands between a sacred Bodhi tree and a Buddhist shrine built in 1894.

(2) Sultan Abdul Samad Building-this is the most photographed building in the city, with a 40-metres clock tower (affectionately dubbed 'Big Ben'). topped with a golden dome and flanked on both sides by two dome-topped towers. During state pccasions, coloured lights twinkle in the arches, making it look like a scene from an Arabian night tale.

(3) Directly opposite is Merdeka Square, the scene of the annual independence celebration. On weekends, with the roads closed and becomes the centre of activities and cultural shows that are a great entertainment for b oth locals and tourists alike.
