Have you ever loved someone you are not supposed to love? Or listened to yourself breathe and wondered how many times you will exhale again before your next real breath? Real, as in you can feel it in your fingertips and the outer edge of your lips when you smile? No? Oh… no, of course not, it’s just me.

Has everything you believed to be real been flung about and changed so that when you looked again it held no resemblance to what it looked like before? And you are left feeling like you were the last one let in on a joke? Like the poor ass who had toilet paper stuck on your shoe the entire night and no one said anything simply because it was funny to watch? And maybe it would have been funny – except – it’s not the first time it’s happened?

My life feels a bit like one of those speed dating bars. Except…I am the moron who has toilet paper stuck on my shoe, spinach stuck in my teeth, my shirt on inside out and back to front, and my number ‘96’ is upside down, so it says ‘69’- which turns out to be the highlight of my evening. Of course… no one picks me because in my short 60 second interviews all I can muster up to say about myself is that I have temporal lobe epilepsy and that I know how to break someone’s nose and break into a car using either coat hanger or a license plate.
