Yesterday I brought a new member to my family, I have rescued a very lovable young male Great Dane, his weight is low for his size and age (Approx 1.5 years), but his muscle mass is still good. He stands a good chance of a full recovery. My first task was bathing him as he was quite filthy and smelled very bad. I will update here occasionally to keep others informed of his progress, tomorrow he meets my four legged son Scooby, a somewhat dwarfed Blue Merle Great Dane and we see how the 2 will interact. Just a note, I did not name Scooby, I rescued him also some 7 years ago, but in keeping with a cartoon theme, I will be naming this new guy Marmaduke, and calling him Duke for short

Yet another weekend has passed and I am still stuck someplace I am coming to loathe. I allowed my hopes to be brought so high that I wouldnt be here by this time, and when my plans fell through it left me empty. I want so greatly to be someplace else, a place so far from here. Knowing it may be late Febraury or even early March before I can go there is killing me. All I do anymore is work and sleep, trying to hide from my fears and keep my hope alive. I so wish to leave sooner then later, I hate the waiting.

Wasting a good deed. I often help people I see in need. Today was no exception, on my way home, I noticed an older gentlemen on the side of the road trying to figure out how to remove his spare tire from under his vehicle. I turned around in the rain an went to offer my assistance. I helped him remove the spare tire as he explained his predicament (he had caught the curb of a small bridge where the road narrows). I jacked up his 4 Runner and attempted to remove the front tire when I discovered the front suspension was damaged and changing the tire would not fix the problem. I retrieved my cell phone and we retreated to under the open rear hatch to seek shelter from the rain while he used my phone to call for help. It was then I smelled the alcohol on his breath. He stated he was a little buzzed. I let him call roadside assistance, verified they would be on their way, and then left him to wait for the wrecker. The rest of the way home I was rather upset, Drinking and driving is something I am very against, and have no sympathy for, his drunken minor accident could have been a small child, or any other innocent bystander being injured or killed because of his lack of selfcontrol and concience. I decided I was going to be vengeful and cal the police to check on him, as I doubt they would arrive in time or be able to do anything about it. I can only hope his mishap teaches him a lesson.

My weekend is almost over, even with the extra day. I have managed to acquire a migraine which has forced me to retreat to my room, as dark and cold as I can get it, I am leaving my computer on and checking it occasionally, but for the most of the day I shal be laying down hoping the pain in my head will subside.

Another Sunday at home, playing with my photos, looking for pictures that catch my eye and fuel my thoughts for new edits and images within. Anyone who has something they might like, please drop me a line and let me know what type of photo you have and let me see what I can do with it for you.
