Painful Dreams

From his tearful memories she escapes,

Termination of life.
The cause of dying.
Destroyer of life, represented
As a skeleton holding a scythe.
Such as broken promises,
And shattered dreams.



Scarred And Broken

What happens to a heart constantly broken?
Does it fall apart like antique lace?
Or turn away like someone with an ashamed face?
Does it turn into ice?
Or melt and run into the night?
Maybe it mends itself overtime.
Or does it die?
